『武藝圖譜通志』의 형성과정 검토
본 연구의 목적은 박기동의 『무예도보통지』의 형성과정을 검토하는 것이다. 이에 대한 결론은 다음과 같다. 박기동의 『무예도보통지』의 형성과정은 역사학 연구방법론을 바탕으로 국어학, 서지학, 체육학의 내용을 포함한 융· 복합적 연구의 모델을 제공한 최초의 연구라고 할 수 있다. 나아가 조선후기 무예사 연구가 나아갈 방향을 제시하고, 기록유산의 관점에서 『무예도보통 지』 연구의 초석을 다지는 길잡이 역할을 했다고 볼 수 있다. 아울러 저자의 『무예도보통지』의 형성과정 연구는 전통무예와 『무예도보통지』에 관심이 있 는 연구자 및 일반 대중들이 꼭 일독을 해야 하는 대표적인 연구물로 여겨 지고 있다. 오늘날 『무예도보통지』 연구는 박기동의 『무예도보통지』의 형성 과정을 기반으로 『무예도보통지』에 실려 있는 단병무예 24기의 개별 무예에 대한 실제 훈련방법 및 자세들에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 이어 저자가 발견한 『무예제보』에 이어 계명대학교 동산도서관에서 『무예제보번 역속집』이 발견되었으며, 보물로 지정되어 조선후기 무예서의 계보가 추가 되었다. 아직까지 『무예신보』에 대한 실체는 발견되지 않았지만, 박기동이 주장하고 있는 『무예제보』에서 시작하여 『무예제보번역속집』을 거쳐 『무예 신보』로 이어져 『무예도보통지』로 완성되는 200년간의 단병무예서 정착과정 은 학계에 통설로 인정되고 있다. 다음은 박기동의 『무예도보통지』의 형성과정 연구를 통해 얻은 기대효 과이다. 첫째, 체육사의 범주에 무예를 포함시켰다. 둘째, 『무예도보통지』 연구를 통해 무예의 수용과 토착화를 확인하였다. 셋째,‘북벌론’과‘북학’의 만남 이 『무예도보통지』 편찬을 통해 이루어졌다. 아울러 연구자는 본 연구를 통 해 조선의 대표적인 무예서인 『무예도보통지』에 대한 정확한 이해와 함께 조선시대의 무예를 이해하는 출발점이 되길 기대한다.
A Study on the Formation Process of 『Muyedobotongji』
The purpose of this study is to review the formation process of Park Ki-dong’s 『Muyeondotongji』. The conclusions are as following in the thesis. Park Ki-dong's research on the formation of 『Muyedobotongji』 was the first to provide a model of fusion research, including the contents of Korean linguistics, bibliography, and physical education, based on the theory of historical research. Furthermore, it can be said that the research of Martial arts history in the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty served as a guide for laying the foundation for the research of 『Muyedobotongji』 from the perspective of the documentary heritage In addition, the author's research on the formation and process of 『Muyedobotongji』 is considered a representative research that must be read by researchers interested in traditional martial arts and 『Muyedobotongji』 and the general public as well. Today, the study on the actual training methods and postures of 24 individual martial arts in 『Muyedobotongji』 are actively conducted, based on the author's study on the formation and process of the 『Muyeondotongji』. Following the 『Muyejebo』 discovered by Park Ki-dong, the 『Muyejebobeonyeoksokjip』 was found in Dongsan Library of Keimyung University, and was designated as a national, and the genealogy of martial arts books in the latter phase of Joseon Dynasty was added. Although no substance of 『Muyesinbo has been found, the 200-year settlement of a 『danmyeongmuye』 is recognized in the academic world. starting from the 『Muyejebo』, to the 『Muyejebo』 through the 『Muyejebobeonyeoksokjip』 and then to the 『Muyesinbo』 which is completed by the 『Muyeondotongji』. as the author claim to be. The Next is the effects of Park Ki-dong's research on the formation and process of 『Muyeondotongji』. First, we included martial arts in the category of physical education history. Second, we confirmed the acceptance and indigenousization of martial arts through the study of 『Muyeondotongji』. Third, the relation between 'Bukberon' and 'the Thoughts for learning Qing Culture' was arranged through a compilation of the 『Muyeondotongji』. In addition, the presenter hopes that this conference will serve as a starting point for understanding the martial arts of the Joseon Dynasty, along with an accurate understanding of the Joseon Dynasty's representative martial arts.
